Our Management
Greg Loeber is a 15-year veteran of information services and customer service-focused businesses of $1M to $60M in annual revenue. Greg’s strength is as a leader and operator, with a hands-on, customer-focused approach and a commitment to on-budget, on-time project delivery and high-touch service delivery.
Over the course of his career Greg has raised start-up and follow-on capital for start-ups, successfully completed multiple mergers and acquisitions, led the implementation of operational and corporate governance best practices, served as a board member for various organizations, and been on the management team of several companies that experienced successful exits. Most recently, Greg was part of the negotiation team and led the due diligence for Newfound Communications’ merger with Acme Packet (NASD: APKT).
When he is not monitoring Surgent activity Greg enjoys tuna fishing, skiing, hiking, tennis, and scuba diving.
Raj Tiwari – Director, Technology
Raj Tiwari has been part of the IVR community since 2000. Raj specializes in software design and architecture for VoiceXML IVR systems including speech recognition. He has spent over a decade leading teams in designing, developing and deploying cloud-based software systems.
At Nuance Communications, Raj led the development of VoiceXML capabilities as part of the industry-leading Nuance Voice Platform. Later, at UPEK, Inc. (which is now a part of Apple), he used UPEK’s industry-leading bio-metric technology when leading a team in developing secure, scalable, and highly available Security and Authentication Services in the cloud. Most recently, Raj served as an outside technical advisor to Surgent’s predecessor, Newfound Communications.
Raj spends his time away from Surgent kite-surfing and cycling around the San Francisco Bay Area.
James Loeber – Vice President, Sales & Business Development
As Vice President of Sales and Business Development, James oversees the company’s global sales strategy and is responsible for developing Surgent’s eco-system of reseller and technology alliance partners. He has 20+ years experience in Telecommunications and Networking having worked for a number of leading global equipment and solution vendors.
Before joining Surgent, James held VP roles building regional and global channels for Speakerbus (Financial), Callminer (Analytics), Acme Packet (Telecommunications – later acquired by Oracle), Newfound Communications (IVR & Recording), as well as Business Development positions at a number of other technology startups.
Outside of Surgent, James is an active Board-level participant for a number of telecom and analytics companies and is enjoying a new-found hobby of woodworking.
